Contents: Mock-up 1

The image on the left shows one of my original ideas for my contents page mock-up. If this was the contents to my second mock up front cover then it would be quite effective as the title on both of the pages are horizontal, on the left hand side. However with the plainer background behind the blue writing looks a little 'wishy washy' because the others have stronger colours as the background of that certain genre and have something relevant to do with the magazine or that genre as the background. For example, behind the pop genre is an image of take that, which you cannot see completely due to the writing but after reading what it says about that genre i should hope it becomes more apparent. The colours and fonts are easy to read, and there is not too much going on, however i don't think that it would grab too much attention with the top box being so pale. Overall though i think it was a good attempt and may use some of the ideas in my final contents page.
