Front Cover: Mock-up 1

This was my first idea for the front cover and i liked the layout, however the details on certain articles with the stars and the blue behind makes it appear more amateurish, the image does no favours for it either as it is blurry and the pixels have been expanded too much, however the type of image could be something to consider for my final front cover with a few brighter colours to fit one of my genres that would appear in the magazine. This type of front cover is a little different from the majority, as the title is at a slanted angle not with an image covering some of the letters nor being completely horizontal, additionally there is only one picture whereas on a lot of magazines, no matter of the genre, there is usually two or three images at least.

The use of colours may have come across as 'girly' instead of a general magazine for the intended age. nor does it really give you an idea of the genre for the magazine, however a good point would be the fact that it is not over crowded and is easy to read with the fonts used. The image would have to be in different clothes though more casual to fit any of my genres.
