Final front cover!

On the left is my final cover which is rather unconventional compared to some of today's magazines because of the layout of the images and the title of the magazine going down the page, though there is more than one image on the front there isn't one really big image with either writing over it or there are usually quite a lot of images with captions under the majority. The 'normal' magazines contrast with parts of mine as there isn't one large photograph with writing over it, nor is there
captions under the images. There is however, some writing over the images and the photographs are split, not merged, and therefore could reflect an expected 'traditional' magazine whilst the images are mainly mid-shots which are quite common in the magazine industry. The images in my eyes, look authentic because they have been taken outside of a house and aren't a completely plain background or somewhere hectic around others. Additionally, the barcode and issue number not only being together but being on the right side of the page is quite conventional.
There were a couple of problems with the images though, the bottom left image needed to have a wider block of bricks so the word 'wire' from the title could fit along it. Overcoming this problem was fairly easy as I pasted the same image, cropped the rest of it apart from the bricks, and then stretched it a little the colouring of the bricks were on the same line, but the length of the bricks were a little different. On the biggest image though I managed to place my title in between the ridges of the door used. I then added borders around the images to give them a bit more attention so to speak, and made it white so there was a little brightness between the images as the locations we used weren't to bright. I thought the clothes the pair wore were about right for the genre they were suppose to come across as (indie), as there clothing was casual, not a lot of jewellery or make-up or bright colours, however if it was a professional shoot the clothes would sill be casual, though famous names like Calvin Klein, Hooch or Armani could be used.
The poses used we thought were relatively good, the biggest one is quite funny so would attract the attention of potential customers relatively easy as it is a pose that a cheesy pop duo might use, so even though my models were imitating the indie genre, it would also capture the pop fans out there as the magazine is supposed to be indie, pop, and R&B. The third image on the bottom right shows that they are a close duo, and that they haven't been placed together there is an actual friendship there.
