On the right is another magazine this time of 'Kerrang!'. Once again the image of a well-known artist (in this case, Pete Wentz) is covering half of the title of the magazine, which again, shows how confident the publisher's are that the magazine will sell whether the title is fully shown or not. However with this front cover it is trying to entice you more so because of the free offers it is advertising, the posters and CD. The font style for the title is very apt with the genre of this magazine (just as it was for the 'Rollingstone' magazine) as the music in the magazine is 'emo', 'rock' and 'alternative' so the colours used are also good and dark like the music that is spoken about in the magazine.
The different features that are highlighted in the front cover have a border around them which almost separates them from the different articles which draws more attention to them. Not only this though, but where it states about the free CD being given away there is a picture of a speaker that has higher voltage written on so it is quite apt. It also lists different artists - Paramore, Biffy Clyro etc. - so lets the customer think about what is inside the magazine without actually looking in it. The main thing on the magazines I have looked at so far are the images and the colours that highlight certain aspects like freebies.
